Many of the pain relief products available are narcotics, which can have severe side effects. The current opioid crisis requires non-narcotic options for acute pain relief.

Drugs used to treat this pain include the opiates, Oxycontin®, and fentanyl. These drugs have recently been targeted for rampant abuse.
Elliptical Therapeutics’ product utilizes a potent non-narcotic drug ketorolac tromethamine that is often used via injection or iv drip during surgery, and a nasal formulation used post-surgery; the patch could seamlessly move the patient from the operating room to post operative pain relief.
Our transdermal formulation mitigates the potential for abuse of a potent drug and provides sustained relief for 24 hours; additional patches can be administered over several days.
